Penerapan Model Project Based Learning (PjBL) untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Jabal Ghafur pada Mata Kuliah Botani Cryptogamae

Abstrak


ABSTRACTThis study aims to examine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on the critical thinking skills of Biology Education students at Jabal Ghafur University in the Botani Cryptogamae course, as well as their responses to its implementation. The research employed a quasi-experimental design using a One Group Pretest-Posttest model. The sample consisted of 20 students. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation notes, critical thinking tests (pretest, posttest, HOTS), and a project booklet assessment rubric. The results showed that the average pretest score of 3.03 increased to 3.73 on the posttest, with an N-Gain score of 0.355 (moderate category according to Hake, 1998). Student responses to the model were positive, and the project results achieved an average score of 4.45 (good category). Keywords: project based learning, critical thinking, cryptogamic botany.  ABSTRAK Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh model Project Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Jabal Ghafur pada mata kuliah Botani Cryptogamae serta respon mahasiswa terhadap penerapannya. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan model One Group Pretest-Posttest. Sampel terdiri dari 20 mahasiswa. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi angket, catatan lapangan, tes berpikir kritis (pretest, posttest, HOTS), dan rubrik penilaian buklet. Rata-rata skor pretest 3,03 meningkat menjadi 3,73 pada posttest dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,355 (kategori sedang menurut Hake, 1998). Hasil angket menunjukkan respon positif, dan hasil proyek memperoleh skor rata-rata 4,45 (kategori baik).Kata Kunci: project based learning, berpikir kritis, botani cryptogamae.
