TINJAUAN STRATEGI KOPING REMAJA DALAM MENGELOLA GEJALA KECEMASAN DAN DEPRESI
Abstrak
Kajian ini mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis berbagai strategi koping yang digunakan remaja dalam mengelola gejala kecemasan dan depresi berdasarkan hasil penelitian empiris lintas konteks. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa strategi koping adaptif yang dominan meliputi koping berorientasi tugas, restrukturisasi kognitif, distraksi melalui interaksi interpersonal yang positif, penggunaan humor, serta regulasi emosi yang efektif. Temuan berbagai studi menegaskan bahwa strategi adaptif tersebut berperan dalam menurunkan ketakutan, tekanan emosional, dan gejala internalisasi, termasuk pada situasi krisis seperti pandemi COVID-19. Sebaliknya, strategi maladaptif seperti penghindaran berkepanjangan, ruminasi, penolakan stresor, menyalahkan diri sendiri, dan penggunaan zat terbukti meningkatkan risiko kecemasan dan depresi. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa strategi koping remaja bersifat multidimensional dan dipengaruhi oleh kombinasi faktor individual, sosial, dan lingkungan. Penguatan koping adaptif melalui intervensi kognitif-perilaku dan pendekatan sosio-ekologis menjadi langkah penting dalam upaya promosi kesehatan mental dan pencegahan masalah psikologis pada remaja.
