Mekanisme Penyelenggaraan Administrasi dalam Pemilihan Keuchik di Kecamatan Pidie Kabupaten Pidie

Abstrak

The Keuchik is the number one person at the Gampong level who runs the Gampong Government organization where he is assigned. Before a Keuchik candidate is appointed as Keuchik in Gampong, he must go through several processes or requirements as stipulated in the Aceh Qanun Number 4 of 2009 concerning Procedures for Election and Dismissal of Kechiks in Aceh. a Direct Keuchik Selection Committee was formed by Tuha Peut Gampong consisting of Tuha Peut members, Gampong residents and elements of community organizations. However, in practice the process has not run as expected due to various inhibiting factors. The aim of the research was to find out how far the direct Keuchik election administration mechanism has been implemented in Pidie District, the obstacles encountered and the efforts that can be made. This study uses a descriptive method, to obtain data it is necessary to conduct field research and library research. All data obtained from research results were processed and analyzed using simple statistics.

From the research results it is known that the mechanism for administering the Keuchik Election administration in Pidie District has not run as it should. Obstacles/obstacles encountered are that there is still an element of intimidation against the community to win a candidate for a Keuchik candidate, the community has not fully exercised their right to vote in the Keuchik election. Efforts that can be made need justice and honesty so that there is no element of coercion against the community, the Keuchik Election Committee must ensure that all members of the community are present, all of whom have the right to vote at the polling place.

It is suggested to the Direct Keuchik Selection Committee that in the mechanism for implementing the Keuchik Election it must really be carried out in a fair and honest manner, so that no party is harmed and it is suggested that the Direct Keuchik Selection Committee must ensure that all members of the public who are entitled to exercise their right to vote have exercised their rights without coercion from any party
