EFEKTIVITAS BELAJAR KELOMPOK DENGAN MEDIA GAMBAR UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPS DI KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 4 SIGLI

Abstract


This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group learning with visual media to improve learning achievement in Social Studies subjects in Class VII at SMP Negeri 4 Sigli. The population in this study consists of 22 individuals, comprising 9 male students and 13 female students. The data obtained from each observation activity in each cycle are descriptively analyzed using percentage techniques to observe trends in the learning process. The research results indicate that in Cycle I, the students' scores were not yet optimal. In Cycle II, there were still 11 students who had not passed, and in Cycle III, out of 22 students, only 2 students did not pass (9.09%), thus it can be concluded that the students' scores in Cycle III were satisfactory (90.90%). For the entire group, all students were declared to have passed because their scores were above the minimum passing grade, which is 70. It is recommended for teachers to apply teaching methods that are suitable for the material, making the learning process more engaging for students.
